Playful Places: Summer Table Settings

I love playing around with fun ways to welcome your guests to a table and place settings are an easy way to do it! I am loving these adorable & easy ways to make each guest’s place feel special.

Creative Substitutes

Don’t have any napkin rings that match your summer décor? Be creative. A gorgeous silk ribbon or a bit of twine can work wonders.

Flowers & Herbs

Nothing says outdoor entertaining like putting the outdoors on your plate. A sprig of rosemary or a flower slipped through a napkin ring can brighten up your place setting & also mean you don’t have to have a huge arrangement in the middle of your table!

Place Cards

Have fun with your name cards this season! Why not buy a second hand Scrabble board & spell out your guests’ names? One of my absolute favorites is to use tiny vintage frames & write my guests’ names inside (or even use a picture of them if you know them well enough!)

Unique Napkin Rings

There are so many beautiful napkin rings out there and they can instantly elevate a tablescape. Check out local vintage markets for some stunning finds – and don’t be afraid to mix and match! Keeping the color scheme or material in line can tie individual elements together nicely!

Edible Accents

Whether it’s heaping bowls of lemons, delicate blackberries strewn over the table, or a tiny bowl of chocolates at each place setting; there’s something fun and decadent about adorning your table with edible elements!
