Gorgeous, luxurious and affordable, Rancho Las Palmas is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of LA and take some much-needed time off.
Rancho Las Palmas boasts a fabulous spa, lush golf course and gorgeous rooms. Decorated in Palm Spring’s favorite Spanish Colonial style, the large rooms and private terraces are the perfect way to soak in the sunshine, warm desert air and breathtaking views. Their rooms range from spacious vista rooms, to lakeview villas, to fun modern suites decorated by the HGTV Star finalists. Why not experience modern luxury at its finest in a room designed and decorated by some of TV’s brightest designers?
The spa itself is a sun-drenched oasis where one can sit back, relax and enjoy luscious treatments and a fabulous lunch. Moisture-infused facials custom-built to your skin type, tranquil massages and other delicious yet affordable treatments set the scene for a perfect, soothing day. The spa has its own restaurant and bar, so sample the decadent cocktails (we love the Strawberry Basil Smash) and have a light spa lunch before or after your treatments!
The hotel in general has delicious food. The main restaurant, The bluEmber, features mouth-watering California Cuisine in a gorgeous location. Our favorite items included the Seared Scallops with Saffron Beurre Blanc (click for the recipe!), their Pan-Roasted Organic Halibut or their Grilled Kurobuta Pork Chop. Sipping a fantastic cocktail while relaxing alongside the golf course in the sunshine? Yes please.
One of the things you should know about Rancho Las Palmas is the way it accommodates children. Rancho Las Palmas has one of the most fun, kid-friendly pools in Los Angeles. Splashtopia is a veritable treasure chest of fun for your kids so, if you’re looking for a family vacation, try it out from March to August. And don’t worry, they don’t allow kids in the adult pool area or spa if you want to relax! If you are in the mood for a peaceful vacation sans-family then book your trip for October-February, when there are hardly any children at all!
